8 Hour Mental Health Awareness Class For Dispatchers – 1 full day (0800-1700)

This 8-hour class is helpful in understanding the basics of mental illness. The class will cover an overview of mental illness: schizophrenia and psychotic disorders, mood disorders, cognitive disorders, personality disorders, and substance disorders. We will look at the causes and nature of the illnesses, typical patterns of behavior, common medications, and guidelines for dispatcher response. This class is intended for Dispatchers, 911 Call Takers, and all related occupations.
